Getting started

1. Open Nixly and allow access to your photo library. Full access is needed to find duplicates across the whole library and to delete reliably.
2. Nixly scans on the device and groups what it finds into duplicates, similar shots, screenshots and videos of 50 MB or more.
3. Review a category, or flick through everything in the swipe view. A swipe marks a photo, it does not delete it.
4. Confirm the batch. iOS asks its own confirmation, then moves the items to Recently Deleted.
5. Open Photos > Albums > Recently Deleted and empty it. That is the step that actually frees the space.

I deleted something by mistake

Open the Photos app, go to Albums > Recently Deleted, and recover it. Deleted items stay there for 30 days. If you have already emptied that album the item is gone from the device, and only an iCloud or computer backup made before the deletion can bring it back.

The storage figure did not change

That is expected until Recently Deleted is empty, because iOS keeps deleted photos there for 30 days and they still occupy storage the whole time. There is a full explanation on why iPhone storage is still full after deleting photos.

Why does Nixly show less freeable space than other cleaners?

Because a photo lands in one category and one only. Anything grouped as an exact duplicate is taken out of the pool before similar shots and screenshots are grouped, so nothing is counted twice, and every total is the sum of measured file sizes rather than an estimate.

Do my photos ever leave my phone?

Never. All analysis runs on your device. There is no account, no upload and no data collected. See the privacy policy for the detail.

What does Nixly Pro cost, and how do I cancel?

Nixly Pro is 4.99 US dollars per week with a 3 day free trial, or 29.99 US dollars per year, which has no trial. To cancel, open the App Store, tap your profile picture, then Subscriptions. You can cancel at any time, and you keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for.

Restoring a purchase on a new phone

Open Settings inside Nixly and tap Restore purchases. Your subscription is tied to the Apple Account that bought it, so sign in with the same one.
